In-n-Out is coming!!!

I know for everyone in California and Arizona this is not a big deal but we are getting 3 count them 1,2,3 In-N-Outs in the Salt Lake Area in the next year. I am so excited. Finally a little bit of Cali making its way up here.
So being from California I just assumed that most people knew about In-N-Out, maybe not tryed it but at least heard of it. I get to work and someone was talking about it and then I hear in the background "what is In-n-out?" I thought what the heck, how can you not know. Then I proceed to explain how they have the best burgers ever and they will have to make sure to try it when they are done building. Then I was talking to someone else and they had no idea what in-n-out was either. Seriously people try to travel to places other then Utah if you have lived here all your life. There is a whole other world out there. Needless to say we are excited to be having In-n-out coming to northern Utah, now when are they going to put a Disneyland here?...Just kidding.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day! When most people think of Valentines day you think of all the lovie dovie stuff. Cards, Chocolate, Flowers, nice dinner maybe a proposal, if your not already married. Unfortunately I am not thinking of any of this stuff, instead I'm thinking of how I sadly have to work today. Waaa! But Tim surprised me early this morning with a wonderful card. He found that one perfect card that you knew was written just for you and whatever is going on in your life right at that moment. I have learned not to be completely romanced by Tim. He's just not that guy, and I've known that from the beginning, but he never ceases to amaze me. He does these things so rare that when he does do them it make the moment that much more special. So to my wonderful, loving, amazing husband thank you for not being overly romantic but knowing just how to be when you know I need it. Thank you for being you. I love you and need you more then you know. Oh, and by the way we are celebrating Valentines day on Monday...more of the delicious Ruby River Steakhouse. Hope everyone has a wonderful day whether it's filled with romance or lots of yummy chocolate and popcorn while you sit down and watch a great movie.

Tim's Birthday

Tim's birthday was on January 18th and I am finally getting around to posting what we did. So we decided to make a whole weekend out of it. It started out with dropping the kids off at Grandma and Grandpa Ethingtons, the kids were excited to be there but sad that they didn't get to stay at the hotel with us... maybe another time kids. We actually took the kids to the hotel with us when we checked in so they could see where we were staying and then off to Grandmas. After we dropped them off we went to eat at the oh so delicious Ruby River Steakhouse. We both had the Gorgonzola New York Steak. Let me just say yummy, yummy, yummy and so on and so forth. Wow, I think that was the best steak I had ever had. We also had French Onion soup, filled with chunks of steak. Now that I am writing about it it makes me want to go again, maybe after we get our taxes back. Anyways, it was a great beginning to our fun weekend. After dinner we had some time before our movie started so we thought we would walk off some of the calories we had so willingly consumed so we headed to the mall. It sure is a lot different without kids. The movie we ended up seeing was Defiance. It was based on a true story and it was pretty good. The next day we planned to go the the Auto show, and Tim fell in love.

The first car we saw as we walked through the door was this beautiful Chevy Camero, its still not out but Tim is dreaming of owning one someday.

Ferrari

Lotus

Dodge Viper, my favorite.

Dodge Motorcycle

Needless to say we had a blast this weekend. Then to top it off on his actual birthday we had Tim's famous spaghetti and I made him a toasted coconut cake. Yummy, yummy. Hope you had a fun birthday honey I love you.

Here it is...the update!!

Well like I said, it has been really busy around here but I have some how found some time to post. Tim and I and the kids went up to Camp Tracy with Matt, Jenny and the boys to go sledding Nic met us up there. Everyone had a lot of fun, even thought the only tubes we could find were small kid ones. Tim and Nic were using two at a time.

Matt blowing up the inner tubes.

Emma, all bundled up and ready for the snow.

Here are a few pictures of the sledding hill.

After we were done sledding we all went back into the lodge to warm up. Matt had some snacks in the back office and some of the kids picked out sour powder. Here are some of the faces I caught after the brave souls put the potent powder into their mouths.

Nic didn't try the powder, this was just Nic being Nic!!!

Quick and Short

So I've needed to update my blog for quite sometime. It has been a little crazy around here, I have been work 5 days,or nights a week at Walmart and don't get home until after 11pm. Then I just want to go and relax in bed. During the day I am trying to keep up with everything around here and am only on the computer for short burst during the day. So needless to say I haven't had a chance. I will post some pictures of Tim's fun birthday later. More of an update to come...
