Happy Valentines day! When most people think of Valentines day you think of all the lovie dovie stuff. Cards, Chocolate, Flowers, nice dinner maybe a proposal, if your not already married. Unfortunately I am not thinking of any of this stuff, instead I'm thinking of how I sadly have to work today. Waaa! But Tim surprised me early this morning with a wonderful card. He found that one perfect card that you knew was written just for you and whatever is going on in your life right at that moment. I have learned not to be completely romanced by Tim. He's just not that guy, and I've known that from the beginning, but he never ceases to amaze me. He does these things so rare that when he does do them it make the moment that much more special. So to my wonderful, loving, amazing husband thank you for not being overly romantic but knowing just how to be when you know I need it. Thank you for being you. I love you and need you more then you know. Oh, and by the way we are celebrating Valentines day on Monday...more of the delicious Ruby River Steakhouse. Hope everyone has a wonderful day whether it's filled with romance or lots of yummy chocolate and popcorn while you sit down and watch a great movie.

Just another one of those days....without Tim.
For those of you that don't know, Tim has a new job and had to go to Atlanta, GA for two weeks. Sad I know but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for great new jobs, this time I knew exactly when we would be back together. Anyways, today started out like any normal Sunday in our house. We woke up. All the kids came into my bed to see if I was awake, they asked what we were eating for breakfast, we ate, then everyone started getting ready. Teancum and Ammon were ready first, I know surprise surprise. I thought that since they were ready they could help me get the other two ready while I was taking a shower. So I took out Brighams clothes and laid them on the bed so Teancum could help him get dressed.I also told Teancum that once Emma was done eating to take her out of her chair and clean her up. Well when I got out of the shower I heard a lot of noise downstairs, I thought to myself I hope Brigham is dressed, he wasn't. To make a long story short, nothing I asked them to do was done. But I was still on track to be on time to church, so I thought. I put Brigham's clothes on then Emma's then I finally got myself ready, I realized I didn't really like what Emma was wearing so I changed her clothes. Then we headed out to the car. I had a handful of things to put in the car along with the kids so I took my first trip out to the car and put my purse, phone and diaper bag on the front seat shut the door and walked around to put Emma in and the door was locked. How the heck did that happen?! Well I didn't realize that I had already grabbed the keys and when I put my stuff down I also set the keys down and something touched the LOCK button and there you go I locked the keys in the car with my purse and cell phone and on top of my plan to be on time to church I was now going to be late. I thought to myself I NEED MY HUSBAND RIGHT NOW!!!
I took our Honda to church very carefully since all the car seats were in the Toyota. I was able to get a hold of Tim to tell him my sad story and to get Jenny and Matt's number. They came to save the day after they were done with church. It's good to have family so close, thanks for rescuing me from my stupidity. Anyways, Tim will be back on Friday and I can hardly wait.

Happy 11th Anniversary!
Saturday was our 11 year Anniversary. I can't believe how fast and yet how slow time has gone by. It seems like just yesterday we met. I'll recap for those of you who don't know the story.
Tim and I met at a Highland,California church dance. I came to the dance with a couple of my guy friends and he was already their with his guy friends. When I walked in I thought WOW there are some really cute guys here, this should be fun. Tim and his friend Alma were standing there and started calling me the girl with the golden eyes. That was the nick name that they stuck with the whole night. Not too long into the dance a very handsome guy walked over to me and started talking to me, I knew right away there was something I really liked about him. Later we went to Denny's, a favorite after dance tradition, where we continued to get to know each other. Sadly my ride decided they were going to leave and head home. I had just met a great guy and wasn't ready to leave, Tim offered to take me back to my car. We sat in my car for about two hours and talked. We exchanged numbers and he went home. A few weeks went by and I started thinking I wonder why Tim hasn't called yet, I guess I will try calling him. I tried and tried and finally the third time I tried I talked to his Mom and she got the message to him that I had called. He called me back on a Saturday night and asked if I wanted to go on a date that night, of coarse I said "Yes". I met him at his parents house around 9:00pm and we went up to the mountains. He wanted to show me this really cool area by the ranger station so we walked off into the woods. After a short time of walking we arrived at these two pipes that were about 6" wide and about 5 feet off the ground, they were going across a little stream. He thought it would be fun to walk across them and so he brought me with him. We both walked across together and he wanted to show off and walk one pipe by himself. On his way back from his daring adventure he planted one on me. He said it was because I was in his way, but I think he just couldn't wait to kiss me. The rest of the evening we sat in the bed of his truck talking and looking at the stars. It was by far the most romantic first date I had ever been on. I went home knowing I had met the man I would marry. Tim knew a week later and we were informally engaged.
On June 14, 1997 he drove me down to the San Diego temple and proposed. I wasn't sure what he was doing because when we got there he took me out of the truck and started walking really fast. We were almost to one side of the temple when he noticed that there were people sitting on that side so he turned around and headed to the other side. We sat down and about a minute after that he got down on one knee and popped the question. I of course cried and obviously I said yes. We were married on September 20, 1997 in the San Diego Temple.
Eleven years have gone by and it has been amazing. I couldn't ask for a better husband. Tim is loving, caring, warm, spiritual, strong, forgiving, funny, adventurous and by far the best friend I have ever had. Thank you for giving me a ride to my car all those years ago and for an amazing life with you. I can't wait to see where the years ahead take us. Happy 11th Anniversary Tim, I Love You!!

Emily's how old???

it was so good and neither one of us had been there before. We were sauce virgins, so the gave us the tour, wow what great sauce they had. We will defiantly go back for more.
When we picked the kids Jenny had a yummy German Chocolate cake waiting for me. I was so good. Thank you Matt and Jenny for watching the kids and for making me a cake. It was a great birthday.
