Here it is...the update!!

Well like I said, it has been really busy around here but I have some how found some time to post. Tim and I and the kids went up to Camp Tracy with Matt, Jenny and the boys to go sledding Nic met us up there. Everyone had a lot of fun, even thought the only tubes we could find were small kid ones. Tim and Nic were using two at a time.

Matt blowing up the inner tubes.

Emma, all bundled up and ready for the snow.

Here are a few pictures of the sledding hill.

After we were done sledding we all went back into the lodge to warm up. Matt had some snacks in the back office and some of the kids picked out sour powder. Here are some of the faces I caught after the brave souls put the potent powder into their mouths.

Nic didn't try the powder, this was just Nic being Nic!!!

Quick and Short

So I've needed to update my blog for quite sometime. It has been a little crazy around here, I have been work 5 days,or nights a week at Walmart and don't get home until after 11pm. Then I just want to go and relax in bed. During the day I am trying to keep up with everything around here and am only on the computer for short burst during the day. So needless to say I haven't had a chance. I will post some pictures of Tim's fun birthday later. More of an update to come...

A day out with the whole family

Ever since I started working we haven't been able to do a whole lot all together. So when I found out that I had a saturday off we decided this was the time and we were going to take advantage of it all day long. First we started out just checking out some DI's on our way into Salt Lake, a favorite of the families lately. Then we thought it would be fun to let the kids ride the Trac's into town so we drove around trying to figure out where we could park for free and wala all the parking meeters were covered with a bag that said FREE 2HR PARKING. Cool, so we pulled into a parking spot that happened to be just around the corner from the Trac's station in the free area Yea!!

We were on our way towards the Temple grounds. When we got off all the kids just so happened to have to go potty so we rushed everyone into the Joseph Smith Memorial building and that was where we hung out for most of the time. Check out some of these cool pictures I took from the top.

The Trac's

A door on the top of the Temple's roof. I wonder what that is for, maybe maintance. I just thought it looked cool.

The Beautiful Salt Lake Temple.

This was the top of a crain on top of a building. I thought it was cool that there was an american flag way up there.

This on I had to do for my Dad and Teancum. It is the University of Utah campus. My Dad graduated from there and he took Teancum to a football game there a few weeks ago. He loved it.

Brigham being his goofy self.

The Angle Moroni

The Church office Building

A cool fountain with two Brides taking pictures.

All the kids checking out the view, Emma wasn't so sur she wanted to see the view.

Inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in front of their beautiful Christmas tree.

Well our two hours of free parking was almost up so we headed back to the car, but this was not the end of our adventure. Since Tim had never been up emegration canyon or seen the "Real" pioneer trail we thought, why not, lets check it out. So we set off for the next leg of our journey. Up the canyon we went as the kids said, oops I mean Tim said " are we there yet?" "No", I answered. Keep driving, it's still a ways up there. Then we arrived. It was beautiful Tim took all the boys out to go check out the trail. Emma was asleep and I had already walked on it so I let him enjoy it with the boys, Definatly a summer adventure we will have to complete later.

A beautiful view

Daddy and the boys headed up the trail

The sign

And still we wern't finished, we headed back down emegration canyon and stopped at a great little diner called, Ruth's Diner. It was pretty good and very homie. after we filled everyones bellies we were off to the temple again so we could see the Christmas lights. We found another free spot and rode the Trac's in again. The lights were amazing and the Temple of corse looked beautiful.

Whats going on!

When I last posted Tim was still in Atlanta, GA. He has since returned and I have started working at Walmart in the Electronics Department. I didn't think I would ever work there but it has been good. I'm getting my workouts in without having to workout, I know you are probable thinking how can you do that. When I first started I decided I would wear a pedometer and the results were great. On average I am walking 9+ miles when I work, holy cow! Now I want to start seeing some results.
We went down to California for thanksgiving and had a great time. This is the first time we have been back as a family. It was good to be there together. Although we weren't there as long as we would have liked we were able to see a lot of friends and family. Thanksgiving day we spent with Tim's family. We arrived there early to help Mom out with all the yummy traditional sides, it was a lot more fun to be in the kitchen all day cooking with eveyone helping out.
Grandpa had fun activites planned throughout the day to keep the kids busy. He had a sling shot area set up that my boys loved, he also bought umbrellas for the grandkids.

About 1 hour after the umbrella fun I went to see what everyone was doing and here is what I found.

And we hadn't even eaten yet. I guess everyone needs a good nap before a big meal. We had so much fun coming back to California for Thanksgiving. It was a little weird at first. We still really miss it and all of our friends and family but we are very thankful that we could come back and visit even for a little while. We know that this is just another stepping stone in our life adventure.
Saturday was another fun day for us, we had a second Thanksgiving at my sister Paiges' house. She decided to go the non traditional thanksgiving day meal. Instead of the Turkey and all the fixings she had baked potatos and chili with all the fixings for that. It was so yummy. Great job Paige. We also got to see her new and only grandbaby, which makes me a Great Aunt, am I old enough to be a Great Aunt and for her to be a grandma? I guess we are. Jacob and Heather's baby is beautiful. Her name is Hayden and she was just adorable. It was great to spend time with both sides of the family. We love all of you and had a blast the short time we were there. Until next time.

Just another one of those days....without Tim.

For those of you that don't know, Tim has a new job and had to go to Atlanta, GA for two weeks. Sad I know but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for great new jobs, this time I knew exactly when we would be back together. Anyways, today started out like any normal Sunday in our house. We woke up. All the kids came into my bed to see if I was awake, they asked what we were eating for breakfast, we ate, then everyone started getting ready. Teancum and Ammon were ready first, I know surprise surprise. I thought that since they were ready they could help me get the other two ready while I was taking a shower. So I took out Brighams clothes and laid them on the bed so Teancum could help him get dressed.I also told Teancum that once Emma was done eating to take her out of her chair and clean her up. Well when I got out of the shower I heard a lot of noise downstairs, I thought to myself I hope Brigham is dressed, he wasn't. To make a long story short, nothing I asked them to do was done. But I was still on track to be on time to church, so I thought. I put Brigham's clothes on then Emma's then I finally got myself ready, I realized I didn't really like what Emma was wearing so I changed her clothes. Then we headed out to the car. I had a handful of things to put in the car along with the kids so I took my first trip out to the car and put my purse, phone and diaper bag on the front seat shut the door and walked around to put Emma in and the door was locked. How the heck did that happen?! Well I didn't realize that I had already grabbed the keys and when I put my stuff down I also set the keys down and something touched the LOCK button and there you go I locked the keys in the car with my purse and cell phone and on top of my plan to be on time to church I was now going to be late. I thought to myself I NEED MY HUSBAND RIGHT NOW!!!
I took our Honda to church very carefully since all the car seats were in the Toyota. I was able to get a hold of Tim to tell him my sad story and to get Jenny and Matt's number. They came to save the day after they were done with church. It's good to have family so close, thanks for rescuing me from my stupidity. Anyways, Tim will be back on Friday and I can hardly wait.

More Creepy Crawlies

Brigham has become obsessed with praying mantis'. Probably because he has never seen one until we moved up here. Here are a few pictures of him and Emma with the creepy crawlies in the backyard.
