Out of the mouth of Ammon

Ok so I picked up Ammon from school today, as soon as we started driving away from the school he starts asking me questions. It went something like this.

Ammon: Hey mom,

Mom: What?

Ammon: Why did Jesus make Bad Guys?

Mom: Well he didn't make bad guys, They were born and when they grew up they made bad choices and became bad guys.

Ammon: Well they should have followed Jesus.

Mom: I know

Ammon: I think that if there are grown ups that follow Satan, and Kids that follow Jesus the grown ups need to watch the kids so they can follow Jesus too.

Mom: That's a great Idea.

Ammon: Do you know why I say I love Jesus in my prayers?

Mom: Why?

Ammon: Because I always want to follow him and do whats right. Grown ups should always watch the kids if they follow Jesus so they can be good too.

Mom: I agree!

Ammon amazes me all the time. He has such a wonderful spirit and such a loving heart. He wants everyone to do and be GOOD all the time.

It's just a little mud Mom, what's the big deal

You know those days that you have every once in a while were is not necessarily a bad day or a good day it just a weird day, well this was one of them. Earlier this same day I was trying to get something done that I had been procrastinating on and so I asked Ammon and Brigham to go and play in their room and they did until they, let me clarify, Ammon figured out that they could open the window and get out because there isn't any screen. Thanks to the Dog. So I found them in the backyard playing, which isn't so bad except that Brigham was still in his PJ's. So I talked to them and told them not to go out of the window anymore, and if they wanted to go outside just to come and tell me. They said "OK" and went back to playing in the house.

About an hour or so had gone by and all of a sudden it was very quiet again. I thought oh great They did it again, then all of a sudden I hear Brigham screaming and running up to the front door. I opened it and found Ammon chasing Brigham with a hand full of mud. Needless to say they went out of the window again and made a mud puddle then decided it would be a lot more fun just to play in the mud. What more can I say except for Boys, Boys, Boys......

He's 6....Already?

Well Ammon is now 6, I can't believe how fast time goes. He is getting so big , we love Ammon so much and are so happy that he came to our family. Hope you had a fun Birthday.

On your mark get set..........OPEN

Ammon had two cakes for his birthday, one for the little get together with some family and one for his classroom. Both of them were very tasty.

Ammon had a lot of fun for his birthday here is one of his cool presents

Here is the cake Ammon asked me to make for his Kindergarten class. It turned out pretty good except for the wheels, which were supposed to be cookies. I forgot to buy them so I tryed to improvise and it fell apart on the way to his class. Next time I'll make sure to use the cookies.

OUCH!!!

I took Emma to the doctor yesterday for her 1 year check up. She is finally bigger then 15lbs. She now weighs 17lbs 4oz and is 29" long. She had to get four shots and the also did a blood lead test on her itty bitty finger. It was a sad day.

Tag I'm it

Well I have been tagged a few times and never had the time to do it. So here it is.

1. 10 years ago:
2. 5 things on my to-do list today:
3. Snacks I enjoy:
4. What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
5. 5 places I have lived:
6. 5 jobs that I have had:
7. 3 of my BAD habits
8. 5 Random Things people don't know about me:

1. Ten years ago was 1998 and Tim and I had know each other for almost 1 year and been married for 7 months. We also had purchased our first home later that year and celebrated our 1 year anniversary.

2. 5 things on my to-do list...
1 Clean out the fridge
2 Laundry, YUCK I sure do hate the stuff. At least the folding and putting away
3 Try to potty train Brigham
4 Clean out my car from our trip to Utah
5 Try not to lose it

3. Snacks I enjoy
Well it depends on the mood I'm in, but mostly chocolate, BBQ chips, Fresh fruit like Pineapple, strawberries or any other berries, carrots and dip. Nachos, what ever I can find in the house that the kids haven't found yet. Fresh fruit smoothies, yummy and refreshing.

4. If I were mad a billionaire I'd..
I would first figure out where Tim and I want to live and buy a house so we can be together again. Pay off any debt. Build my Mother-n-law the house she's always wanted with a very nice kitchen and a giant living room. Build my parents a house that people can stay in when they come to visit. Help family, set up college funds for all my kids, go back to school. Invest, And most important, stop stressing about everything.

5. 5 places I have lived
1-Riverside, Ca
2-Victorville, Ca
3-Bountiful, Ut
4-Albuquerque, NM
5-Vancouver, BC, Canada

6. 5 jobs that I have had
1-Mother/Wife
2-HR/Payroll Clerk
3-DMV Clerk
4-Receptionist
5-Bagel baker

7. 3 of my bad habits
Well I know there are more than 3 but I will stick to the rules
1-Procrastination, I try not to procrastinate but sometimes you are so tired or so busy that you just don't want to do anything else. I think I have been better through the years though. At least I think so.
2-Stress, I stress so much that I think I have permanent knots in my shoulders and back. Sometimes I stress when there is no apparent reason to do so. What can I say, can't wait for that billion dollars(see #4).
3-Laundry, I always seem to leave it until the last minute (see the 1st bad habit) then I have to stay up late so that it can at least go into the dryer and everyone has clothes for the next morning.

8. 5 random thing people don't know about me.
1-I don't like to ask for help from anyone, especially family. I don't want anyone to have to take away from their plans or their family to help me. Sometimes when I don't know what else to do I will break down and just ask, but never without a little stress, oh who am I kidding a lot of stress. There I said it.
2-I knew that the next person I would kiss at 18 was the man I would marry, and I did.
3-When I was 3 we lived in Canada and I got some kind of disease where I could't walk and my dad had to carry me everywhere.
4-When I was younger I wanted to be a chef, even though I don't like a lot of foods, I love to cook them. Even family now thinks that it is a little weird that I cook a lot of things that I don't like and they are actually good.
5-I think it would be sooooooooo much fun and sooooooooo exciting to drive a race car.

So there it is, my first Tag.Hope you enjoyed it, Now I tag Sara, Autumn, and Stacey can't wait to read all about you.

Easter

Happy Easter

Here com the kids out to find eggs.

Teancum couldn't quite reach the ones on the top of the fence but he was sure trying.

Ammon had so much fun finding eggs, each of the kids were able to have 23. Talk about a sugar rush once they started opening them.

Emma loved getting the eggs as long as you didn't put her down on the grass.

Connor was so nice to share with Emma

Connor was really enjoying his Fun Dip.

Emma's Birthday Party

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Emma, Happy Birthday to You.

We Celebrated Emma's First birthday on March 15, 2008. It was a lot of Fun and it was great to have our friends and family there.

Emma, Valerie and Jordyn. Emma sure does love being around other little girls.

Man did she enjoy her cake or what. She was a little slow to start, but wow what a finish.

Here is the cake that I made for Emma's Utah birthday. It doesn't even compare to the creativity that Aunt Sierra has. But for it being my first "decorated" cake I thought I did a pretty good job. Every once in a while you have to Toot your own horn...TOOT, TOOT!

This is the cute Fairy cake that Sierra made for Emma. Thanks for being so talented. We love the cake and how it tasted. Yum Yum

Well we thought we had escaped the snow for a little while when we left Utah, but it seemed to have followed us all the way to California. This is how the car looked at the end of Emma's Birthday.

While we were up in Utah in February we had a little 1st Birthday party for Emma, so Tim could be there. He took over all the thing that I normally do, like helping open presents. It was so cute and Emma got a lot of cool stuff. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out to her Utah birthday party.

It's the litle things..

Well yesterday was not the best day. I was kindof having a bad day, for whatever reason. Maybe I didn't have enough sleep or not enough to eat, who knows but I was in a bad mood and all the kids knew it.

So I was sitting with Ammon helping him with his homework when Teancum came out from his room and says "hey mom I have something for you." So I said, " oh ya, what?" he says "close your eyes and put out your hand" so of coarse I did, not sure what he had and he handed me this. Sometimes it is just the little things that make your day so much better. I guess all I needed was just a cute little note to help me have a better day. The rest of the day and night was much better. Teancum just know how to make it better when you least expect it. Thanks Teancum

Emma's Birthday

Just one short year ago on March 5, 2007 our precious little princess was born.

She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was the smallest in the family.

It has been such a great year filled with so many firsts. Here is her first outfit.

Her first time sitting up on her own
I can't believe how fast the year has gone. We sure do love our litte girl and wish she wasn't growing up soooo fast!

Our baby is one, oh my gosh, 1 already. Where has the time gone. This has been such a fun year with her and I can't wait to see the years to come. Happy Birthday Emma, we love you!

The Truth...

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!
